One platform.
Many sites.
Complete isolation.
Runway is a self-hosted, open-source, multi-tenant web platform. One installation hosts many independent sites — each on its own domain, with total isolation of identity, data, and presentation. It isn't a SaaS website builder; it's your own multi-site platform, running on your own infrastructure.
Isolation you can trust. Extension without limits.
Capabilities that matter when you run other people's sites on your own infrastructure — from complete isolation to full observability.
A small runtime footprint
A single self-contained process, deliberately lightweight. It runs on a modest 1 GB VM and scales up when you need it — no database, no cluster to get off the ground.
SEO & GEO, first-class
Automatic sitemap.xml, per-locale hreflang, and JSON-LD structured data — plus llms.txt for GEO, so AI and LLM search engines can read your sites. Multilingual by default: per-site locales, runtime-editable translations, localized URLs.
Secure by design
Two security realms that never cross, per-site session isolation, Argon2id password hashing, app-layer brute-force protection, a Content-Security-Policy, and self-managed TLS behind your reverse proxy.
Complete isolation
Every site is isolated in identity, data, and presentation, and is fully self-contained — so one tenant can never reach another, and every backup is complete and portable.
Observability built in
A Prometheus scrape endpoint via Micrometer, plus Kubernetes- and systemd-ready health checks — monitor the platform with the tools you already run.
Extensible with plugins
Add features by dropping in a folder and restarting. A broken plugin is skipped — never crashes the platform. Search, blog, forms and SEO are plugins themselves, on the same extension points you get.
Open-source & self-hosted
A single self-extracting installer and a systemd service — no external build tooling. Runs on your own Linux box with a first-run setup wizard. Open source, so you own, audit, and control the entire platform.
Two sites. Nothing alike. One system.
These live demos share a single Runway installation — same version, zero shared code. Each fully owns its design, content, and languages. That contrast is the whole platform in one glance.
same install · same version · zero shared code — both are fictional demo companies
Three roles. One clean line between them.
Platform operators & hosts
Run and manage many sites from one console — per-site backups, bandwidth quotas, maintenance mode, and observability across the whole install.
Site managers & tenants
Manage a single site — pages, content, blog, translations, SEO — in a dedicated console that can't touch any other tenant or the platform itself.
Developers
Extend the platform with drop-in plugins. The core's own features are built on the same extension points, so nothing is off-limits.
Modern infrastructure, the boring-in-a-good-way kind.
Editable YAML and templates live on disk — portable and backup-friendly. No external build tooling; a single installer and a systemd service.
